Maxine A. Marshall

Maxine was born in Berwick, Nova Scotia and in 1983, she began an incredibly exciting journey, creating images on a bare canvas using colors, light and shadows. Maxine is fascinated by the play of light against shadows in the landscapes and seascapes she sees all around her and strives to capture this magical contrast in her work. She has studied under various American and Canadian professional artists and strives continuously to improve her skills as an artist. Although she has worked in acrylics and watercolors, oils are her preferred medium.

Her work is in private collections throughout Canada and the United States as well as England, France, Italy and Germany.

Maxine is past president and a founding member of the North Range Art Club, member of the Conseil des la Baie, Church Point, and Annapolis Region Community Arts Council, Annapolis Royal.
